SafeScene on DHS Approved Equipment List (AEL)
The Department of Homeland Security-approved Responder Knowledge Base (RKB) provides emergency responders with a single source for integrated information on Approved Equipment List (AEL) equipment, certification and standards, training and other resources.

SafeScene is listed and approved on the Responder Knowledge Base at www.rkb.mipt.org and is allowable under certain Department of Homeland Security grant programs.

2011 Aid to Firefighters Grants (AFG)
Congressional appropriation bills indicate the federal Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) program will be funded at approximately $370 million in 2011.

The 2010 AFG application window has been extended until September 23, 2011 at 5:00 p.m.

AFG awards aim to enhance response capabilities and to more effectively protect the health and safety of the public with respect to fire and other hazards.  The grants enable local fire departments and emergency medical services organizations to purchase or receive training, conduct first responder health and safety programs, and buy equipment and response vehicles.
