Tennessee's Sullivan West Volunteer Fire Department Selects SafeScene for Automatic Firefighter Accountability


ROCHESTER HILLS, Michigan – December 21, 2009 – Azure Wireless, the developer of SafeScene, the world’s only completely automatic accountability system for first responders, announced that Sullivan West Volunteer Fire Department of Tennesee has selected SafeScene to provide on-scene accountability, incident resources tracking and incident reporting.

SafeScene is a system that utilizes RFID to automatically detect the arrival of first responders and equipment at an emergency scene, replacing traditional manual and error-prone methods of accountability. SafeScene is the only accountability system that requires no manual actions and incorporates a broad variety of features like visual and audible PAR timers to improve incident response and personnel safety.

SafeScene allows command staff to manage personnel and monitor personnel safety and automatically generates activity reports of every action occurring at the incident scene. SafeScene also provides multijurisdictional capabilities with superior ease of use and reduced complexity; the identities of and information about first responders from multiple jurisdictions are recognized immediately upon arrival at the scene.
